We are pleased to announce a new competition where you can win a Mediterranean or Caribbean Virgin Voyage, coupled with an attractive extra bonus of 90,000 Virgin Points, all courtesy of Virgin Voyages cruises and Virgin Red.

The competition runs until midnight on 19th September 2023.

Why are Virgin Red running this competition?

It’s all to promote the new Virgin Atlantic Reward+ Credit Card bonus offer of 30,000 Virgin Points.

However, anyone can enter the competition (subject to the rules) – you don’t need to have a Virgin Atlantic Credit Card to take part. Although if you don’t have one, now is a good time to think about it!

Win a Virgin Voyages cruise plus 90,000 Virgin Points

The Virgin Atlantic Reward+ Credit Card is a great way to earn Virgin Points, which can then be spent across hundreds of rewards on Virgin Red – from hot drinks and cinema tickets to flights and concert tickets.

You’ll earn a very generous 1.5 Virgin Points per £1 spent, so it’s an easy way to build up your points balance.

How do I qualify for the 30,000 Virgin Points bonus?

Until 2nd October, anyone approved for the Virgin Atlantic Reward+ Credit Card will get:

  • 15,000 Virgin Points as soon as they spend on the card, and
  • a further 15,000 Virgin Points when they spend £3,000 within the first 90 days of holding the card

This gets you a total bonus of 30,000 Virgin Points, double the usual sign-up bonus of 15,000 points. There is an annual fee of £160 for the card.

You will also benefit from a reward flight or a companion seat voucher each card year when you spend £10,000. This HfP article explains how valuable your annual voucher can be.

The representative APR is 69.7% variable, including the annual fee.  The representative APR on purchases is 26.9% variable.

This bonus offer is only for the Virgin Atlantic Reward+ Credit Card. There is no special deal on the no-fee Virgin Atlantic Reward credit card.

For a detailed breakdown of the offer, please see our dedicated article here. You can apply here.

What can you win?

The lucky winner of this prize will win a Virgin Voyages Mediterranean or Caribbean cruise for up to two people, sailing in a Sea Terrace cabin.

It is valid for any Mediterranean or Caribbean itinerary until the end of 2023. You don’t need to worry about the Voyage fare, port taxes or fees – they are all included.

Virgin Voyages cruises are all inclusive. All 20+ eateries, entertainment, group fitness classes, wi-fi, gratuities and essential drinks are included as standard. Alcoholic drinks must be paid for.

Flights to connect with your cruise are not included and any other associated travel costs will need to be covered separately. However, Virgin Red will also give the lucky winner 90,000 Virgin Points.

The points can be redeemed however the winner chooses, but 90,000 Virgin Points is enough to redeem two return Premium Economy flights from London to Miami, should the winner decide to take a Caribbean cruise.

Please note that taxes, fees and carrier imposed surcharges apply to flights and there need to be reward seats available on your chosen flight.

Conclusion

This is a great chance to win a much-coveted Virgin Voyage and 90,000 Virgin Points.

Don’t forget that, if you don’t win 90,000 Virgin Points in the competition, another great way to earn Virgin Points is through the Virgin Atlantic Reward+ Credit Card. The current special offer of 30,000 Virgin Points is an excellent sign-up bonus – we never see a better deal than this.

The £160 Reward+ card is the better overall package because of the high earning rate and the bonus triggered at just £10,000. There isn’t a lot of value in getting the free card – at least for Year 1 – with such a strong bonus on Reward+.

You can apply for either of the Virgin Atlantic credit cards via this link.

The enhanced credit card sign-up bonus ends on 2nd October, but the competition ends earlier, on 19th September, so you have just two weeks to enter.

Many thanks to Virgin Red and Virgin Voyages for arranging this competition for our readers.

Good luck!

  • Craig Strickland says:

A generous competition but how many cruises are there between now and the end of the year? Add in searching for flights, arranging time of work, childcare etc etc. It seems that the terms are so restrictive that it would be impossible for many to use it.

    • barry cutters says:

Stop moaning…..I bet you still entered!!

    • Philondon says:

Maybe you shouldn’t bother entering. Give the rest of us more of a chance to win.

    • Andrew. says:

There will always be competitions that aren’t compatible with everyone.

The local butchers ran one recently, the prize effectively excluded anyone who is Muslim, Jewish, Hindu, vegetarian, or vegan. It also came with a bottle of Gin, so that’s anyone tee-total potentially disincentivised from entering too.

      • Rob says:

BA was trumpeting the return of a free gin and tonic in economy on Amman and Cairo yesterday, routes where many passengers will be teetotal …..

      • BJ says:

I don’t see how the butchers competion excluded anybody except pernaps under 18s and non-residents.

    • Rob says:

Would you seriously dump your kids for 7 nights during term time with someone else anyway?! It would never even cross my mind.

I’d also guess that the % of UK adults with ‘proper’ jobs that require negotiated holiday time is probably under 50%, perhaps nearer 33%, when you add in students, unemployed, retired, career break, digital nomads and the self employed.

  • Ian says:

Just 2 cruises in Europe that can be used by the winner.

Unless they allow you on the cruise that starts a couple of days after the competition closes.

  • CP says:

I closed my Virgin Atlantic CC in March – would I be eligible for this point promotion if I reapplied successfully?

    • Rob says:

Yes, if it has been a full 6 months and they accept you (which is a lot less likely than Amex taking you back).

  • Matt says:

Just finished our first ever cruise, also with virgin, and it was an eye opening experience. One not to be missed!

  • MPC says:

Good prize! Got back on the bank holiday after 2 weeks floating about the Adriatic and Greek islands. I have to say the experiences on board were incredibly mixed, the 3 seatings we had at The Wake could almost have been 3 completely different restaurants. That said, the food was very good as far as mass cruise catering goes, although they did run out of prawns in the 2nd week which was a shame as 2 of our top 3 dishes were the prawns! (At Pink Agave and the Dock House)

Surprised there’s anything offered up on the Caribbean routes for this competition – Lots of noise saying the ones out of Miami are now full and service is suffering as a result. But as people have pointed out above there’s not much choice on the Euro ones before the year is done!

    • Yvo says:

Can echo sentiments here. The food and service on Greek island Glow in June at half capacity was an absolute world away from French Daze and Ibiza Nights at capacity on August 20th.
Still very grateful to board each but the staff just seemed indifferent and bored – could be because it’s further in the season – so on my next (cash) booking I’m not looking at Valiant Lady.

  • Thomas Atkins says:

Yeah, but prawns are the food of the Diablo!

  • Mark says:

Shame it can’t be used on U.K. departures. 😉

  • Skywalker says:

I tried to enter, but was met with:

“Sorry we need to verify you’re a human – please log in with one of these social networks to get started”

So logging into a social network is proof of humanness, now?

    😀

    • Sam says:

      Yup, got that, slightly disappointed…

    • E says:

Also thought this was disappointing. Seems unnecessary and I’m sure there are other less intrusive ways of confirming.

      • Novice says:

Well I got the prove ur human message but just had to tick to verify. Didn’t ask for social media accounts because if it had I couldn’t have got the entry but it says I’m entered so let’s see.

I don’t think I’ll win though. Never win anything 😂
