Last week, thanks to the Virgin Atlantic Reward+ Credit Card and its new 30,000 Virgin Points bonus welcome offer, we launched a competition to win a Virgin Voyage, along with 90,000 Virgin Points.
It’s very easy to enter – you can simply head to the widget at the bottom of this page and input your name, email address and confirm your date of birth (this is purely to ensure you are over 18). If for some reason you can’t see the form below, you can use this link to access the competition site.

For full details of the competition, including the prize and any terms and conditions, please see this article.
For anyone thinking of entering, we thought we’d provide you with a bit of an introduction to the world of cruising with Virgin Voyages.
All about Virgin Voyages
Virgin Voyages ships offer an ‘adults only’ boutique hotel-like experience at sea, with contemporary spaces and a high-luxury feel.

Currently, Virgin Voyages depart from Miami, Barcelona and Athens, covering over 60 unique itineraries that visit 100 diverse ports of call.
However, from 2024, there will be additional departures from Melbourne and Portsmouth plus new ports of call to add to the list.
Onboard amenities include a variety of dining options curated by Michelin-star chefs, fitness facilities, daily group fitness classes, and a diverse entertainment line-up, ranging from intimate shows to larger productions. The ships also offers modern, tech-savvy cabins, designer suites and an incredible spa and thermal suite.

In 2023, Virgin Voyages won Travel + Leisure’s ‘World’s Best Award’ for the best mega-ship ocean cruise line, along with awards in all five categories in the Cruise Critic Cruisers’ Choice Awards, a first for any cruise brand.
If you don’t happen to be the lucky winner of our competition, you could still enjoy a Virgin Voyage at a lower price in 2024.
There is currently an offer to save 30% on Mediterranean 2024 voyages (and get up to a $600 Bar Tab) on bookings made by 28 September. A handful of select Caribbean sailings and repositioning voyages are also eligible for $500 off.
Tell me about Virgin Voyages’ new UK departures
There’s some additional good news from Virgin Voyages. Last week the cruise line announced that it will have a suite of UK-departing itineraries in 2024.
From mid-August 2024 and throughout September, Virgin Voyages will be offering a number of three- to six- night itineraries departing from Portsmouth aboard the ship Resilient Lady.
Routes include “English Sights and European Delights” which docks in Le Verdon (Bordeaux), La Coruna and Bilbao, and a five-night voyage to Amsterdam and Zeebrugge (Bruges).
Get a Virgin Voyages status match
Although it is still under development, Virgin Voyages offers a loyalty programme – the Virgin Voyages Sailing Club – which gives regular sailors various perks whilst the company creates a more permanent loyalty programme

There’s a status match programme called ‘Match and Sea More’, which gives high status members in other cruise line loyalty programmes automatic access to a bunch of benefits they call ‘Deep Blue Extras’.
What may be particularly interesting to HfP readers is that the ‘Match and Sea More’ programme will also match Virgin Flying Club Gold members, meaning Gold members will get:
- Expedited boarding
- $100 Bar Tab credit
- Unlimited premium Wi-Fi package (where available)
- Dedicated onboard support
- An exclusive onboard cocktail event
- Free laundry
- $10 daily specialty coffee credit per cabin
You can see more about the Virgin Voyages Sailing Club here.
Why are we running this competition?
The competition is all thanks to the team behind the Virgin Atlantic Credit Card who are promoting the new sign-up offer on the Reward+ Credit Card.

From now until 2nd October, anyone approved for the Virgin Atlantic Reward+ Credit Card will receive the following benefits:
- An immediate 15,000 Virgin Points after your first card transaction
- An additional 15,000 Virgin Points when you spend £3,000 within the first 90 days of card ownership
This totals a bonus of 30,000 Virgin Points, which is double the typical 15,000 point sign-up bonus. The card comes with an annual fee of £160.
Long term, cardholders enjoy a reward flight upgrade voucher or a ‘2-4-1’ companion seat voucher every card year upon spending £10,000. Full details of this offer can be found here.
The representative APR is 69.7% variable, including the annual fee. The representative APR on purchases is 26.9% variable.
Don’t forget, the competition to win a Virgin Voyage plus 90,000 Virgin Points ends at midnight next Tuesday 19th September. Good luck!
