Finnair adds two more daily flights from Heathrow to Helsinki

Finnair is adding two additional daily flights from London Heathrow to Helsinki, taking the total to six.

This is a year-round change which will start from the launch of the winter timetable on 27th October.

The new flights will depart Heathrow at 9.55am and 1.10pm. The earliest daily flight is 7.30am whilst the latest is 6.10pm.

These additional services will use Airbus A320 and A321 aircraft. If you are planning a trip to Helsinki, it is more fun to look for the Finnair services operated (for cargo reasons) on widebody A350 or A330 aircraft.

You can earn and spend Avios on Finnair due to its membership of the oneworld airline alliance. Here’s a review of a trip I did to Helsinki to try the new Finnair business class seat.

Finnair services depart from Terminal 3 at Heathrow which means you can, if you have British Airways elite status or are travelling in business class, get into the wide range of excellent oneworld lounges. Here’s our rundown of your Terminal 3 lounge options and our views.

British Airways no longer flies to Helsinki, leaving the route to Finnair.
