Qatar Airways expands online Avios flight booking to more carriers

When Qatar Airways adopted Avios, it opened up a number of new airlines that you could redeem Avios on, including JetBlue and Virgin Australia.
Initially it was not possible to book these redemptions online and you had to call. However, Qatar Airways has been integrating partner airlines into its online booking system.
It is now possible to use Avios online for both JetBlue and Virgin Australia via Qatar Airways Privilege Club.
Other non-BA partner airlines, such as Rwandair and Middle East Airlines, still cannot be booked online, although to be honest these are airlines you are less likely to fly anyway. Adding JetBlue and Virgin Australia probably covers 80% of what most of us would book.
Online booking of oneworld partner flights via Qatar Airways Privilege Club is still patchy. Whilst you can book all oneworld carriers with Avios via the BA website, you will pay fewer Avios or lower taxes and charges in some case by booking via Qatar Airways.

How to earn Avios from UK credit cards (April 2025)
