Accor runs regular promotions offering QUADRUPLE Accor Live Limitless points at its new hotels.  There are often no UK properties taking part, but the new list has three options of which two are in London.

Even an Accor Live Limitless member with no elite status will earn 20% of their ex-tax spending back in points under this offer.

You can see all of the participating hotels here. Registration via that page is required before you book.

The three participating hotels in the UK are:

  • ibis Styles Burton on Trent

Hyde London City looks interesting. It’s not far from the HfP office but we haven’t popped our heads in yet. It is described as ‘a bohemian hideaway in the heart of the city’ and is on Old Bailey. The hotel website is here.

We covered Mercure London Earls Court here. The old ibis London Earls Court has been split in two with both parts fully refurbished. Half remained an ibis whilst the other half has become a Mercure. The hotel website is here.

I don’t know anything about the Burton on Trent hotel except that it’s a ‘brand new stylish hotel ideally based on the edge of Burton on Trent close to A38’. The hotel website is here.

What are the rules?

To see the full list participating hotels outside the UK, click on the promo page on the website and click ‘Conditions of Sale’.

There are hotels globally included in this offer, with a surprisingly large number in France – potentially because they were all timed to open for the Olympics.

Here are the rules:

  • You MUST register before booking via this special page of the Accor website
  • You must book before 24th November
  • You must stay before 12th January
  • There is no minimum stay
  • You can only earn the bonus once (not once per hotel, once in total across all the participating hotels)

The offer works out nicely:

  • You earn 2.5 Accor base points per €1
  • You earn 7.5 additional Accor points per €1 as your promo bonus

This is a total of 10 Accor points per €1 equivalent you spend, plus any status bonus you are due.  This is worth 20 Eurocents if used for Accor hotel vouchers, so 20% back on your pre-tax spending.

The rate is lower at Ibis, at 1.25 points per €1, so the Burton on Trent hotel above will earn at the lower rate.

Don’t forget to double dip with Avios in Qatar Airways Privilege Club

You can now earn Avios ON TOP of Accor Live Limitless points with your stays. It’s an easy win with no downside.

You earn 1 Avios for every €1, before taxes, you spend at any Accor Live Limitless hotel.

You will need a Qatar Airways Privilege Club account to do this. You can move the Avios across to British Airways Executive Club by linking your Qatar Airways and BA accounts following the instructions here.

To link your Accor Live Limitless and Qatar Airways accounts, go to this page of the Accor website.

You do NOT need to do this before booking a stay but you must do it before you check in. Once done, you can sit back and forget about it – all future Accor stays will earn you Avios automatically.

Register before booking

You can register for the ‘quadruple points at new Accor hotels’ offer here. Remember that you MUST register before booking.

I get really annoyed when they (and others eg Hilton) say quadruple points, it’s not, it’s triple. I am already getting 2.5 for my £, your giving me 7.5 extra…..triple.

    • daveinitalia says:

It’s quadruple, only thing is as this tends to be on base points and not on bonus points when Hilton runs such an offer it always looks lower as I get bonus points on every stay which aren’t counted.

So if you earned 2000 base points a double points promo would get you another 2000 taking it up to 4000 which is double. By you logic that would be single points but 2000×1=2000 so no bonus due. So quadruple would be 8000 of which 6000 are bonus points, not 10,000 with 8000 bonus points

  • Stuart says:

Thanks Rob for this article. Well timed for me to consider the Mercure for some forthcoming trips, and will have to see if this is works out better (room rate and 4x points) against the other ALL promos on their app. Stayed at ibis Earls Court many times before and during the refurbishment, the prices have crept up there.

Also, Don’t forget to double dip with Miles in Air France-KLM Flying Blue.

Much more sensible for us regular folk than that over-priced Park Hyatt nonsense yesterday. Does HfP know that not everyone going to London is a rich banker/consultant/lawyer?, although London hotels now price as if everyone can spend £££/night!!!

    • Rob says:

To be fair HfP reader surveys suggest you’re more likely to come across a Manchester Utd fan in Manchester than find a HfP reader outside the M25 🙂

      • Stuart says:

I’m an HfP reader and live outside the M25 but have to go the London fairly regularly, but I’m very far from the average HfP banker’s spending ability – a few of us do exist and visit here😁

        • direttore says:

I’m a Cornish HfP reader who moved inside the M25 this year.

Still no idea if this is worth me getting on the tube for though!

      • Bobbbie says:

        ./wave from the Midlands!

      • Dubious says:

For those people traveling way outside the M25, there’s a bonus points offer on Ibis and Ibis Styles bookings outside of Europe and North America at the moment:
        https://all.accor.com/a/en/offers/meapac/ibis-go-get-it-bonus-offer.htm
500 points per stay up to five stays.

Plus you can double up with a 15% off discount in the app. It is a genuine discount but it’s not applicable at all hotels so it’s good to double cross check with the website.

      • jj says:

150 miles outside the M25 here. Sorry if geography places me outside your target demographic, Rob, even though I’m in the fortunate position of being able to frequently spend £500+ per night on the right hotel.

      • JoeCrystal says:

Hello from the South in Dorset! 🙂 Not everyone lives within lofty London.

  • Darren says:

Rob. Just checked my Qatar linked account with All Accor and it says that you only earn Avios with stays outside of your country of residence.

    • Rob says:

That’s not actually true. We’ve had this discussion before. Either it doesn’t apply once you earn 1 Avios from another source or it falls away when you stay once outside uk. Can’t remember which.

Either way I got 5000+ from Windsor Park last Christmas!

  • CheshirePete says:

I stayed at Ibis Earl’s Court last month. By the way it’s a great location to stay if you’re off to Gatwick the following morning. You also save money by avoiding Victoria. The Overground is a 5 minute walk, 2 stops to Clapham then pick up the train out of Victoria. Use split tickets via Croydon you have then saved almost 50% on the cost of coming out of Victoria.

Anyhow! My Gold card got me an actual hotel upgrade which was from Ibis to Mercure which I’ve never had before! Considering Mecure was about twice the cost it was a good upgrade.

    • Lady London says:

Shepherd”s Bush Overground is my favourite wheeze for an easy ok priced run to LGW.

Highly accessuble if lots of luggage, pushchairs etc as most surfaces around the ststion entrance have been smoothed out and lift access is easy.

  • Swissy says:

There is also an offer when booking via the app. 15% off for stays of two nights or more. Book by October 27th for stays from 31st October until December 17th

  • direttore says:

    Has anybody actually used this?

    Cos I can’t a property I like enough to make specific plans…
