Save 30% on ALL Eurostar classes and routes this winter in a flash sale

Links on Head for Points may support the site by paying a commission.  See here for all partner links.

Eurostar has turned 30, and to celebrate it is offering a 30% off flash sale.

All adult tickets are reduced by 30% as long as you book by Thursday.

All three travel classes – Eurostar Standard, Eurostar Plus and Eurostar Premier (note the new names) – are included

Eurostar flash sale

You can book from London St Pancras to Paris, Lille, Brussels, Amsterdam and Rotterdam.

Only adult tickets are reduced. The price discount should show automatically on the Eurostar website.

Remember that returning from Amsterdam and Rotterdam currently requires a change of train at Brussels Midi due to engineering work in Amsterdam.

You can travel between 26th November and 13th February (8th February for Amsterdam and Rotterdam).

In terms of dates, there are a small number of blackout dates: 29th November, 30th November, 1st December, 21st December, 23rd December, 26th December, 27th December, 30th December, 8th February and 9th February.

Get an extra 2% to 10% off

There are two ways of making an additional saving.

If you book via Trip.com (click here) you will (in theory) receive an additional discount if you use code #TRIPSTAR. New customers to Trip.com get an extra 5% off whilst existing Trip.com users get an extra 2% off. I say ‘in theory’ because I couldn’t get this to work when I tested it yesterday.

What DOES work OK is booking via the Uber app. Most people will see an offer for 10% back in Uber credits on all train bookings, including Eurostar, booked via Uber. You can still manage your booking on the Eurostar website in my experience.

In both cases the prices match those shown by the Eurostar website.

Don’t forget Club Eurostar

Wherever you book, you will earn Club Eurostar points from your trip. These can be used for free tickets, upgrades, a cash discount on a future trip or converted to Accor Live Limitless hotel points.

You can top up your Club Eurostar balance with American Express Membership Rewards points (at 15:1) or Accor Live Limitless hotel points.

Our guide to Club Eurostar is in the process of being updated, but most of the key information is in this article relating to the scheme changes last year.

How to get Club Eurostar points and lounge access from UK credit cards

How to get Club Eurostar points and lounge access from UK credit cards (December 2024)

Club Eurostar does not have a UK credit card.  However, you can earn Club Eurostar points by converting Membership Rewards points earned from selected UK American Express cards

Cards earning Membership Rewards points include:

Membership Rewards points convert at 15:1 into Club Eurostar points.  The cards above all earn 1 Membership Rewards point per £1 spent on your card, so you will get the equivalent of 1 Club Eurostar point for every £15 you spend.

American Express Platinum comes with a great Eurostar benefit – Eurostar lounge access!

You can enter any Eurostar lounge, irrespective of your ticket type, simply by showing The Platinum Card at the desk.  No guests are allowed but you can get entry for your partner by issuing them with a free supplementary Amex Platinum card on your account.

  • CamFlyer says:

One minor issue with booking Eurostar tickets on Uber is that IME it does not permit mixed class journeys. This can be frustrating where the price differential from Standard to Plus on one leg is small.

  • Sandgrounder says:

10% off for Trip up to £30 has popped up on a couple of my Amex cards today.

  • BlairWaldorfSalad says:

Trip.com – not to be an alarmist, but if you ever were to read a privacy policy, that’d be the one I’d suggest reading

  • Andrew J says:

Is Eurostar premier still completely flexible? So with this sale could one just book a speculative ticket for a future date and change as and when one needed to travel.

    • Rich says:

You don’t pay any change fee on any fare now. But you have to pay the fare difference – even in Premier.

    • Alex says:

It’s not a flat price so that you can change endlessly anymore, there are small differences to entice people to travel on the first/last trains for example. You pay the price difference if the new one is more expensive, but you get nothing back if you go for a cheaper one.

  • Can2 says:

Bagged a £116 return to Paris for a midweek day trip. Booked via Uber, hoping to get the Uber credit.
    Not too bad

  • Ash says:

Sale?? Economy is more expensive than it was being advertised last month, on a positive some of the higher class fares are down with the odd cheaper than economy at the same time.

    • RussellH says:

Depends on your dates, I suppose.
I booked standard for early Feb some weeks ago at £39 each way to Bruxelles.
      Yesterday showing at £27.

    • Rich says:

      Which dates?

The few fares that I checked have definitely come down by 30% since before the sale. Wide availability at £52 return, which is never seen outside sales.

Base prices may well have gone up in the last month though

“Remember that Amsterdam and Rotterdam currently require a change of train at Brussels Midi due to engineering work in Amsterdam.”

Only on the return (and that will change from Feb 10th

The outbound wasn’t affected by the works at Centraal

    • modestpointscollector says:

I think i’ve broken the site i was looking for random dates in Feb, March and May and there isn’t a single service without a change ont he way out.

      • Rob says:

It is back to direct from 9th February, this is already announced although tickets are not on sale yet.
