Maximise your Avios, air miles and hotel points

Get €5-€10 of Accor Live Limitless hotel points for joining ClubOpinions

Links on Head for Points may support the site by paying a commission.  See here for all partner links.

You can pick up some free points in Accor Live Limitless, the loyalty programme for Sofitel, Novotel, Ibis, Mercure, Fairmont, Raffles, M Gallery and other brands, by signing up to their ‘opinion panel’ scheme called ClubOpinions.

The first bit of good news is that this is totally separate to other online research panels, such as eRewards, and so everyone qualifies to join.  You will need an Accor Live Limitless account first, of course.

The second bit of good news is that there is a decent sign-up bonus.

Earn Accor points with ClubOpinions

You can find out more, and join, on the Accor website here.

ClubOpinions is:

“an online community which lets you collect Reward Points in exchange for your point of view.  Our panel is exclusive to members of the ALL – Accor Live Limitless programme, and you can collect Reward Points simply by sharing your views in our opinion surveys.”

What this means is that you will be offered regular online surveys which will earn you 25 – 50 Accor Live Limitless points for completing them.  The points will be deposited into your Accor account within five days of completing a survey – you don’t need to build up to a minimum threshold.

This isn’t an incredibly generous earning rate given that Accor points are worth 2 Eurocents each.  However, the surveys are mobile responsive and so you could do them on the train in the morning if you choose.

You get a decent Accor sign-up bonus from ClubOpinions

If you have Accor Silver, Gold or Platinum status, you will receive 100 Accor Live Limitless points for signing up and completing the Welcome Tutorial and a further 250 or 500 points for completing your first survey.

(Silver, Gold, Platinum and Diamond members of Accor Live Limitless get 500 points. Base level members get 250 points. Everyone gets 100 points for completing their profile.)

Our article on what we think Accor Live Limitless points are worth is here.

500 Accor points are worth €10 off a future Accor stay.  If your account is set up to transfer points directly into Avios in Iberia Plus, you would – when you hit the 3,000 points threshold – receive 500 Avios instead.

You might think that you will get 600 or 300 points after your first survey, because that is what the Accor website is currently saying.  However, last time I tested this elite members received 500 points as per the sign up page.

For clarity, you can’t join Accor from scratch, join ClubOpinions and earn 350 free Avios.  There is a minimum conversion of 3,000 Accor points to Iberia.

Important – earn Avios in Iberia Plus and not British Airways Executive Club

Do NOT transfer your Accor points to British Airways because the rate is worse.

For historical reasons, you only get 0.5 Avios in Executive Club for every 1 Accor point you transfer.

Transfer into Iberia Plus instead and you receive 1 Avios for every 1 Accor point.  You can then move the Avios into British Airways Executive Club via ‘Combine My Avios’.

This HfP article explains how to use ‘Combine My Avios’.

Conclusion

If you have an Accor account, it is worth signing up and doing one survey to get the bonus.  You can then decide if the surveys are worth doing on a regular basis.

ClubOpinions also counts as ‘activity’ for the purposes of extending the life of your Accor Live Limitless accounts, which for many people will be a good reason to join.

  • Lumma says:

My Accor points auto convert to Iberia each time I earn them, I don’t need 3000. Strangely I even get a handful of points even when I book a hotel that apparently doesn’t participate in the programme (usually lbis Budgets)

    • Stuart says:

There are a few countries (e.g. Poland) where ibis Budget participates in ALL so you can earn on those stays.
Although it is heresy at HfP, I stayed 2 nights at the ibis Budget Krakow, it was very basic but it was spotless clean, handy location near the railway station and cost me peanuts but it added to my Status Nights whilst visiting an interesting city.

      • CheshirePete says:

I’ve stayed at Ibis Budget Manchester airport and you also earn points there.

  • Stuart says:

I tried this the last time HfP ran this article. Never could get it to work, yet itshould be simple. So from that I took it that if it had worked then getting the Reward Points would be battle.

  • The Original Nick says:

I’ve had my Accor points transferred to my IB account for years. It’s a simple way to keep your IB account active.

  • Dev says:

The ALL website is tone of the most buggiest I have ever come across. Constantly times out or logs you out as you got from one page to another.

  • RussellH says:

Rob points out that ClubOpinions points count as ‘activity’ for the purposes of extending the life of your Accor Live Limitless account. Worth knowing that the points normally credit within 24 hours.

Also perhaps worth pointing out that the Hilton equivalent is dying on 2 Jan 2025, with the last surveys available on 23 Dec.
Also, transfers from E-Rewards to Hilton will no longer be available from Jan 2025. Pity, as for the last few months, transfers to Hilton have been instantaneous.
