Get an 80%-100% bonus when you buy IHG One Rewards hotel points

Until 31st January, you can buy IHG One Rewards – the InterContinental, Holiday Inn, Crowne Plaza etc hotel scheme – points with a bonus of 80% for most people.
It is being advertised as a ‘mystery’ bonus but the most appear to be getting 80%. That said, I got 100% so your offer may vary. You will see your offer when you log in.

The bonus kicks in with a minimum purchase of 5,000 points, unless you have been targetted for a different deal.
Some people will also see a higher purchase limit than the usual 200,000 points. I don’t, so the most I can buy is 200,000 + 200,000 bonus points for $2,000.
You would be paying 0.41p per point with a 100% bonus. This is in line with our target value of IHG One Rewards points of 0.4p and it isn’t difficult to beat 0.41p on a good day.
I wouldn’t buy speculatively with an 80% bonus but if you see 100% it is worth considering. If you need to top up your account in advance of a planned short-term redemption, of course, you might as well do it even at 80%.
