Earn double points with Preferred Hotels and I Prefer

We don’t cover the Preferred Hotels marketing consortium much, although we did publish a glowing review of Swinton Park Hotel in the Yorkshire Dales last year which sits in their ‘Beyond Green’ eco-friendly arm.

As far as I can remember, Preferred Hotels has never run a brand-wide ‘double points’ offer before. It is best known for its very generous Cyber Monday offer each November which usually offers a huge 35,000 bonus points for a qualifying stay at selected hotels.

The ‘double points’ offer runs to 30th April although registration closes on 31st March.

All Preferred Hotels properties are taking part. In the UK this includes:

• The Beaumont, London (Mayfair)
• Royal Lancaster London (overlooking Kensington Palace)
• The Mandeville, London (Marylebone)

• The Londoner (the huge new hotel in Leicester Square)
• The Bo’Tree, London (Marylebone)

…. amongst others.

You need just under 16,000 I Prefer points to redeem for a £25 gift voucher so (at 10 points per $1) you’d be looking at a spend of around £800 including VAT to earn that under ‘double points’.

It’s not hugely generous even with this offer but clearly better than nothing if you are booking into one of these hotels anyway. You get better value with a larger pile of points as you can do a standard redemption – European hotels start at 35,000 I Prefer points.
