IT’S BACK: Redeem Hilton Honors hotel points for a rooftop British Grand Prix party

Links on Head for Points may support the site by paying a commission.  See here for all partner links.

Hilton operates a Hilton Garden Inn hotel at Silverstone, overlooking the circuit. Unsurprisingly, Hilton Honors is taking advantage of this as the British Grand Prix approaches.

For Practice Day on Friday 4th July, and Qualifying Day on Saturday 5th July, Hilton is throwing a rooftop party.

This is how they describe it:

Hilton Formula 1 rooftop party

Celebrate Hilton’s 20th anniversary with the McLaren F1 Team at the iconic British Grand Prix 2025! Get ready for an unforgettable experience at the home race of the McLaren F1 Team, as you and your guest will attend Friday’s Practice sessions.

Get immersed in the excitement from the exclusive Hilton Garden Inn Silverstone Rooftop, with prime views of all track action and the legendary Hamilton Straight. Enjoy Hilton’s renowned hospitality with free-flowing food and beverage and vibrant entertainment throughout the day.

In addition to your experience, your day is inclusive of the following:

-Head to the Concert Zone to enjoy in-person driver talks at The Main Stage

-Roll up your sleeves and challenge McLaren’s pit stop time at the official F1 Fanzone® Pitstop Challenge

-Champion your inner racing driver and compete against Silverstone lap record at the official F1 Fanzone Racing Simulators

-Explore historic parts of the track at your leisure and observe the iconic 180mph speed of Copse Corner

-Explore the Entertainment Village and Sports Zones

-Giant screen playing live action-packed racing

Please note this package does not include rail or airfare. Parking is limited, therefore complimentary shuttle buses will be available to and from Milton Keynes train station.

The cost is 125,000 Hilton Honors points for two people for Friday and 150,000 points for two people for Saturday.

There is an additional Friday option at 175,000 points which includes a night at the Spark Luton hotel and transfers.

We value a Hilton point at 0.33p so you’re giving up £400-£500 of future free hotel stays if you redeem for this. It is decent value compared to paying cash (general admission is £99 Friday / £179 Saturday, grandstand seats are £300+ for Saturday).

There are 30 pairs of tickets for Friday (plus a further 20 pairs with the inclusive hotel) and 40 for Saturday up for grabs.

In 2023 reader Robin redeemed for the Friday party and wrote a review for us. Click here to see what you will get.

You can redeem via this page of the Hilton Experiences for Friday and this page for Saturday. The Friday option with the included hotel is here.

Be careful – there’s also a 175k redemption. That’s not for the Sunday. It’s for Friday and comes with a free night at the Spark hotel in Luton where they will bus you to the track.

    • Alexander says:

So, the question is where is Sunday? Was it being sold out hospitality as nothing on Silverstone site showing?

      • The real Swiss Tony says:

Last year Hilton had a few spaces as part of a Monster drinks party, which was a slightly strange combo. Will they release seats later? No idea, but I’d say this definitely provides value.

  • Doug says:

Earlier this year, I did try to book a room for the race weekend; you’ll not be surprised that I found the rooms already booked or at a huge markup. This is a great hotel and I have enjoyed stays there. There is often other races on a weekend or even during the week, so do check, as these can be just as enjoyable.
I notice that the offer from Hilton does not seem to include the Sunday, so you won’t actually get to see the race itself.

  • aseftel says:

Perhaps not obvious if you’re not familiar with a race weekend: although Saturday is just qualifying for F1, there will be F2 and F3 sprint races to watch as well. Similarly, Friday will have qualifying for the support series.

  • babyg_wc says:

seems like less of a “party” this year.. last year there was Friday night djs on the rooftop etc.. this year it seems they want to kick you out as they say “Head to the Concert Zone “… still an amazing place to watch the action from…

  • Craig says:

Marriott Moments have some auction packages available also, but they don’t appear to be such “good value” as previous years as they do not include hospitality… currently the Saturday packages range between ~80,000 to ~100,000 (for two people) hmmmmmm….

    • m says:

      that’s terrible value

      • The real Swiss Tony says:

Marriott also had 8 pairs of buy it now seats for the Friday. 15k a pair. All gone in a matter of seconds. Surprised the Hilton ones are still available to be honest!

      • Craig says:

        Agreed!

I abandoned HH years ago and so I have next to zero Hilton points BUT, assuming I could get a 150,000 package, I could buy 150k HH points for £680….
Even so, whilst there is hospitality included etc, that still feels like the cost is pretty lofty for what it is… although I recognise some folk are massive fans of F1 and wouldn’t baulk at that “cost” for such an experience at Silverstone.

As pointed out in the article: 150k HH points would be a decent hotel stay redemption somewhere, in the same way that the equivalent 80k-100k Bonvoy points would get a one night redemption in a solid 5* in Central London (with change…).

        • The real Swiss Tony says:

I think the benchmark needs to be against the cost of buying tickets to Silverstone. The cheapest grandstand tickets for Saturday are £319 each, and that’s before any F&B is involved, so essentially you get the hospitality free. The cheapest official hospitality is £500 once you add VAT, but arguably from a far worse viewpoint than the Hilton deal.

          • Alexander says:

125K last year for Sunday. The appetite for this so far shows not a fantastic deal for an average hotel redemption, but a good deal vs hospitality for F1 fans. I’ll probably redeem it but all would have gone at 80K and under I reckon by now. I wonder and hope 175K for Sunday has been omitted thus far and will appear, which would still be all considered a fantastic deal.

          • Rob says:

I’m more surprised by the 50k premium to stay at the two-star joys of Spark Luton 🙂

Oasis Wembley packages just appeared online if you want to go for those instead.

          • r* says:

Caution, most of the wembley concerts are coldplay not oasis.

  • Mutley says:

The view is questionable, I went two years ago, the problem is the Vegas advert to the left on the bridge, it obscures the pit straight, I moved to the stand at the end where you can seethe first two corners. That said the food and drink was good, and now that he’s 18 and we can get a shuttle to MK, we both intend to get wasted!

  • Lumma says:

If you buy a general admission ticket for Silverstone, can you actually see anything or are you paying £180 to watch qualifying on a big screen with expensive food and drinks?

    • The real Swiss Tony says:

GA will get you to several parts of the track where you can watch the action, but it’ll be quite a walk. You can take food in (we took a picnic when we had grandstand seats).

    • Mutley says:

GA is a rip off, the food and drink is very expensive, that’s why the Hilton offer isn’t that bad, given the quality of the offerings there and the quantity. I might add that my son was 16 the last time we went so he was on Orange juice. This time however…
