Below is a little more inspiration for stays bookable in the sale, courtesy of recent HfP Hilton reviews;

We have a few more Hilton reviews coming up to highlight interesting properties that may be worth a visit!

You will save up to 20% off the standard Best Flexible Rate, although note that these sale rooms are not refundable whereas Best Flexible Rate rooms are.

How to earn Hilton Honors points and status from UK credit cards

How to earn Hilton Honors points and status from UK credit cards (August 2025)

There are various ways of earning Hilton Honors points from UK credit and debit cards.  Many cards also have generous sign-up bonuses.

There are two dedicated Hilton Honors debit cards. These are especially attractive when spending abroad due to the 0% or 0.5% FX fee, depending on card.

You also receive FREE Hilton Honors status for as long as you hold the debit cards – Gold status with the Plus card and Silver status with the basic card. This is a great reason to apply even if you rarely use it.

We reviewed the Hilton Honors Plus Debit Card here and reviewed the Hilton Honors Debit Card here.

You can apply for either card here.

W Florence, art from Acton – and they do it really well. It’s so easy to get cultural indigestion in Firenze, and this light, understated decor comes as a relief from all that. I’d love to get a foot in the door, sometime.

  • apbj says:

So the “sale” is a discount off the flexible rate … but isn’t flexible.

  • ColinThames says:

Am confused. I visited a W hotel in Florence many years ago. It had a nice bar high up with a small terrace with views over the Arno river and the fabulous bridge. Is this a new W or a refurb?

  • BBbetter says:

A review of the Fellows house Curio in Cambridge would be great.

Oops, missed it. Wasnt included in the links at the top so thought it wasnt reviewed.

    • Karl says:

I once found, for want of a better word, a poo in the toilet there at check-in. Informed reception who asked if was still there. I told them I’d flushed it away and they seem flumoxed about what I expected them to do about it!

      • Rob says:

I can see their point ….

        • Karl says:

A small apology and perhaps a bit of feedback to the cleaner would have been fine, clearly an oversight. No big deal I just mentioned it in passing rather than getting over dramatic as they do on Four In A Bed!

          • Rob says:

I did reception at check-out at Corinthia Brussels last week that the toilet didn’t flush, but that was at least fixable!
