Has anyone tried visiting a lounge to avail themselves of the food and drink then gone home? Some of those Terminal 3 lounges are tempting and the flight will be far cheaper than the bill in a central London restaurant for proper nosh and a few quality drinks.
It’s relatively easy to get out, in T3 you need to find someone to open the door to the arrivals stream. In T5 you just take the train to C and stay on. In both cases you end up at immigration, so don’t forget your passport.
Expect BA to take action if you make a habit of this. Yes your meeting in Luxembourg might get cancelled once, but not every week.
Lufty sent a German guy a bill because they did this too often (had to pay something like €200 x 30 “false” visits). Singapore has fined people because it was illegal to pass through immigration on false pretences, also people in China were fined and banned from the airlines for life.
