OK, that’s pretty clear from term 18. I suppose another permutation is to book 4 one-way upgrade tickets with 2 vouchers on one booking, and return either on a separate cash fare booking or another airline altogether. In this case, I could make use of the first pair without waiting for and paying the fees for the second pair.
Definitely need to do some calculations to work out which one is best for me. Now to pick a destination…
