Yeah i have seen that. Although the website looks better, there is less incentive now to book with Avios Hotels. I can often find cheaper offers with same hotel elsewhere, benefit was 15 Avios per £1 spent. Sometimes BA Shop has some offers for booking.com, that might be worth exploring more when offers are available.
Current booking.com offer is poor. I’m sure they’ll have a special on at some point. I’m generally nervous about the Avios Hotels now after getting into an MCOL with them.
