Cork is a brilliant wee city, I hope you’ll love it. Enough to see for a couple of days – have a look at English Market, great pubs, both traditional and modern (Rising Suns brewery is good) and excellent food. It’s a little while since I have been so don’t have specific recommendations. Elbow Lane (steaks/ BBQ) and Mutton Lane Inn (traditional pub) are worth a visit but so many good places. Also remember it’s the home of Murphy’s Stout so give that a go instead of Guinness.
For excursions, Blarney Castle and Gardens, Kinsale (seaside town) or Cobh are all within about 30 mins if you run out of things to do in the city.
