If you have a current booking, would moving the date of one of the flights trigger a recalc on the points for the total of both flights or would both flights need to be moved?

From the quoted terms:

Offer valid for new reward flights, upgrades and companion bookings booked using Virgin Points between 00:01 GMT 21st June 2024 and 23:59 GMT 24th June 2024. All flight departures, including returns, must be on or before 31st December 2024.

Simply moving a flight wouldn’t trigger it. You’d have to cancel, hope the availability goes back in to inventory and re-book. A gamble, if you really are stuck on dates and on a popular route.

I don’t believe this is true from the terms i read the other day before they got pulled – Any change of flight triggers a recalculation of points in case it moves from peak to off peak or similar. There was also specifically a clause that said if you booked a flight during the promotional period and changed it outside the period you would revert to having to pay full points for it (which is fair if Virgin are offering the same for reductions during the promotional period)

I will be on standby tomorrow morning as I just booked a miles flight for the first time in 5 years on Virgin for September and then this got leaked a day later last week!
