What was the cause of the delay? This will determine whether you’re eligible for compensation, though you can submit a claim without a reason and wait for the airline’s response. Unfortunately you’d need to claim from QR as the operating carrier and they don’t have a great reputation for engaging with such claims.
However, even if you’re eligible for compensation for the late QR arrival into KUL, if your onward flight was on a separate booking, QR has no liability for that. You’d need to claim on your travel insurance for the extra incurred costs.
