You can mix cabins using the upgrade voucher, but yes you’ll need to call.
You have to use the maximum avios anyway with the Barclays voucher, so there’s no way of changing the amount of avios/cash you use.
Don’t forget there’s a morning flight back from JFK, which gives better value in terms of enjoying the experience, if you can find award seats! (Likely on that route, although fewer PE are released than Y and J).
I have to take a night flight back unfortunately. It seems the taxes have changed and are now more like £450 plus rather than £300 – is that normal? Or am I searching wrong?
