Forums Frequent flyer programs British Airways Executive Club 2-4-1 solo use, can I add second person for the return flight?

    Hi,

I have a 2-4-1 amex voucher long haul booking, can I add a traveller for the return only?
Logically, I shouldn’t be able to, but what if I already flew there, and then call the call center, and ask to add a passenger?

Have you used the voucher to get a 50% avios discount, it’s not clear?

Why do you need to add someone to the booking? Just make a new one for them.

Ye, the idea is – I’m using the voucher for solo travel (50% off avios)
I fly the first flight and go wherever I’m going, so now I have the return left (that is also booked for me only) – since it’s 2-4-1 – can I add another person (if flights are available) for the return only?

I know it’s a long shot, but I guess there is a chance it would be possible?

I cannot see a situation where this would ever be possible.

Since the voucher has been used to get 50% off the avios for the outward and return flight, I’m fairly sure you wouldnt be able to use it again but this time for a second passenger

Am I not getting this or are you asking whether you can use a BAPP voucher – which you’ve already used to get 50% avios off your flight – for another passenger to pay 0 avios plus the surcharges?! How would you explain this request to BA?

Clause 21 – “Bookings for companions must be made at the same time as the Cardmember makes their booking” – applies here.

The OP is asking to use the voucher for 50% on the outbound and then to change (after the first flight) from using 50% on the return to a normal 241 but it’s pigs that will be flying, not the friend.
