Forums Frequent flyer programs The British Airways Club 2-4-1 voucher question from a newbie

  • 8 posts

Hi, sorry if this has been asked and answered previously.

Can I use a 2-4-1 to fly into one airport and out of another? If so how do I book? Is it a call?

Yes, you can and yes, you need to call; can’t be booked online. It’s called single open jaw if you fly from one city and return from another to your original city eg London>Rome – Naples>London or double open jaw for eg London>New York – Boston>Manchester. There is an international fare construction rule that says that the surface sector (ie the bit you don’t fly) cannot be a greater distance than either of the flights.

You can definitely do that as long as the distance between the airport you fly into and the airport you fly out of is less than either of the flown segments. Not sure if you need to phone; someone more knowledgeable will be along soon I’m sure….
