Hi, I want to fly man-Jnb return, I can book the outbound at 1am, but if I call to add the return on the day of release only the Jnb-Lhr segment will have been released as the Lhr-man flight is the next day. Waiting until all segments are released risks no availability on the first leg. Cam I add the Jnb-Lhr when released and call back the next day to add the Lhr-man segment?
Did the same but agent could not add the domestic connection without cancelling the original booking and re-booking connection as part of a new booking, with new booking reference. Based on what I had read here this did not seem correct but after challenging the agent and her going off to check told was the only option. Fortunately she was able to grab the released flights for the new booking without problem.
When I had this issue I took advantage of the option to cancel for free within 24hrs. The flights from CPT were immediately returned to inventory and I was able to rebook through to MAN. Given that I was the one cancelling the flights at a random time of the day I figured I would be very unlucky to get beaten to them by someone conducting a random search.

A big Phew! Moment when rebooking confirmed though, I guess.
Tried to change outbound connecting leg of long haul 241 return from one Scottish airport to another and was told that it couldn’t be done without repricing the whole thing and the result was a huge increase in amount of avios due with a small cah refund. Is this correct or is there any way around this? Using old style 241.
I think this might be due to old-style 241s attracting only the highest avios/lowest cash pricing now. I’m sure someone else had this exact thing – BA would only price up at the “new” pricing even though the original booking was under the old pricing system.

Yes, I was told the same thing when attempting to add a domestic to an old 241, huge hike in Avios and fees so LNER it is
