Forums Frequent flyer programs British Airways Club Aer Lingus flight booked as part of British Airways Holidays

My daughter has booked a BAH trip. The flight is with Aer Lingus from Manchester to Orlando. She has been automatically allocated back row seats, no recline 🙁
She has tried calling BAH and Aer Lingus and both are saying the other needs to sort it out. Who should she be calling to change seats and order vegetarian meals?

If the booking has an Aer Lingus booking reference detailed, use that to manange the booking on AerLingus dot com.

She has both a BA and Aer Lingus booking reference. Both are like read only. Can’t change anything…

Has she tried Manage my Booking on AerLingus dot com? If so what happened?

She gets the message “online changes are not possible on this booking. Online changes and adding bags or seats are not possible as this booking was not made directly on aerlingus.com. If you need to make any itinerary changes, please contact the original sales agent”

Ok, it seems the person at BAH didn’t know it was their responsibility. If she can’t do the requests online in MMB on ba.com try and call again.

All rows recline the same. There is some weird urban legend that back rows have less recline, they don’t. (It can be better to be there, you out the seat back and don’t have to touch it the whole flight)

Aer Lingus need to do it but their IT is very old. Should at least be able to request the meals if you call in

Link you avios to BA not Aer Lingus.

She had to hang up and call again multiple times before she got an Aer Lingus agent who moved her seats and ordered vegetarian meal…but all sorted now and better seats so she’s happy now. She already had her BA number in the booking so will get some avios. Thanks for all the replies.
