Hi,
It looks like EU261 doesn’t cover my Air China flight 24h delay from Manila to Paris as its non-EU origin and non-EU carrier.
Do you have any experience of claiming compensation from Air China for lost time and misses further flight etc?
Any advice?
Thanks
Correct EU261 doesn’t apply so it’s whatever they have in their conditions if carriage / terms of conditions so have a read of those.

Talking of which, I just spoke to my travel insurance provider about a 6 hour delay coming into the UK from Doha on Qatar Airways.
They won’t entertain any travel delay claim under 8 hours.
Are all travel insurance providers this tight?

HSBC is £50 for every 12 hours, Amex Plat nothing.
The general purpose of insurance is to indemnify you for actual additional costs incurred as a result of an insurable event rather than paying you for inconvenience etc. UK/EC261 is rather exceptional in that regard; you can end up with quite large sums of money for relatively little inconvenience plus any actual expenses repaid.
