A friend of mine has just downgraded his BAPP to the BA Blue Card.
He is interested to sign-up for the Amex Gold Card, however, based on the following wording, I don’t believe he’ll be entitled to the SUB,
“I understand I will not be eligible for any Welcome Bonus award if I hold or have held any personal American Express Card in the past 24 months.”
That said, I know there are some quirks between the different reward schemes AMEX supports, and sometimes these terms aren’t as obvious as they first seem.
Could someone clarify whether my friend could get the SUB?
TIA

Only Platinum will pay a SUB AFAIK.
