Anyone having problems transferring?
Linked accounts a long time ago, last transferred points 6 months ago without issue and instantly.
Tried to transfer yesterday and transfer rejected. Spent hours with Amex trying to resolve this, changing names format around, changing email address and unlinked account and will not relink.
Amex say Virgin problem and VV, flights held and no resolution in sight. Amex say Virgin usually the most straightforward to comple transfers, Virgin say…….
Losing the will.
I always have trouble with this. Managed to do a transfer online and it got bounced back 2 days later, rang up and amex had to try 3 times before it went through ok.
Mind you a few years back had a similar issue and somehow got credited 2x the points in my virgin account.
I have not been able to transfer points from amex to virgin for 5 days now. Atleast Virgin now admits there is a system issue. Still no resolution thought at this time.
I can’t link my accounts, it just keeps rejecting with zero clues or notifications to why
the problem seems to be fixed. My points got transferred after a week of trying

It is also fixed for me. Amex fed me lots of incorrect info then I got lucky and an agent who owned it and escalated it and kept me informed and issued some comp for the inconvenience. VS was also aware of the issue as helpfully extended the period of hold on flights.

I’m still unable to link accounts. Keep getting rejected. Called Amex, they’ve not been fit to help.
What did they do to fix it for you? Also, what sort of comp did they offer for the inconvenience?
