@ed-fly – you are quoting guidance about promotions or savings vs a previous price, so irrelevant here. A ‘from’ price clearly marked as a guide price and one not available to be booked online but by enquiry only isn’t breaching any guidance or pricing regulations. I think you have rather missed the point though. The intelligent poster who asked if this was a mistake understood the position better than most.

It’s clearly a mistake. The guidance is general to pricing and not just promotions, or previous prices. And quite clearly it is within the ASA remit.

Good luck with your complaint. Don’t forget to report all the other luxury travel planners as well.
On the A&K offer, surely if the card has the offer and you pay a “bill” above £1500 it will auto track and the cashback will arrive?
I don’t fully understand why people think A&K would have sold all trips to Paris at that price. Clearly it wouldn’t have cost that during the Olympics but in February after Valentine’s Day it ought to be possible. January too. The hotel has not sold out and it is not presented as a ‘come on in’ special price but as a rough guide starting price.
A&K will be very happy to sell you all sorts of add ons but that should be the rough, if not exact, price for three nights in low season if you take the basic package as listed.
I don’t suppose A&K sell that many holidays so cheap but that’s where they start and you’d be able to get one if you politely asked.
Hyatt 100 off 250.
Interestingly, includes hotels outside Europe.I have a new “Amex Stays” offer on my personal Plat: “Spend £300 or more, get £75 back up to 42 times”. List of participating hotels is almost all in UK (at a glance I can see on in Germany, one in Spain and two in Italy). Expires 17/11/24 and is valid online and in store.
Note this is a separate offer in addition to the existing “American Express Travel” spend £300 get £75 back online only offer valid until 16/12/24.

Same and also on Platinum supplementary card.

Amex has shown me no love on both offers 😀
(P2 has the x42 offer so we are able to profit that way at least 🙂 🙂 )
Hyatt 100 off 250.
Interestingly, includes hotels outside Europe.I was pleased to see this pop up as I need to book a stay at one of the hotels on the list regardless (and, unlike the Hilton offer which I also would have used I’ve actually got this one).
Trying to decide what rate to book – does anyone know if it triggers on advance purchase rates or if it needs to be checkout spend?

I booked an advance purchase rate at Hilton LGW South and it seems to have been billed by Excel Hospitality Heathrow .
While the hotel is still on the list of eligible ones , I’m not sure if I’ll get the offer ..
Will post over here if it works.

The actual list of participating venues is eluding me.
Hollywood Bowl is mentioned, but is that the only one? I’m guessing it’s referring to the big place in California rather than the F&B options at the Hollywood Bowl in my local retail park.
@Andrew I thought that too!
If you click on the list of participating locations within the offer in the Amex app, it just sends you to the link above.
Took a bit of finding and not sure it was worth the effort as someone in Leeds.
IHG £75 back for £300 of cumulative spend has returned. On my BAPP and Platinum supplementary, use by 31/12.
Anyone know if you buy UberOne annual, will that trigger UberEats 15% credit?

Thanks, just added it.
Do I need to pay for the transaction in sterling or can I pay in the Foreign currency to trigger the offer, as we are going to India next week

Interestingly, includes hotels outside Europe.Always pay in local currency. You’ll only have to pay Amex’s 3% fx fee. If you request the hotel to charge in GBP, their markup will be huge.
