Asking on behalf of elderly relative.
It’s the only amex card she has. I recall it comes with some travel insurance.
But do you have to pay for the flight/hotel with the card for the trip to be covered?

Thanks Carlos. I assume if any amex in her own name? If someone else paid with amex the elderly relative would not be covered?
No I believe that person who paid on that amex would be covered , its more like a purchased by travel insurance (inconvenience)
If they are elderly pls dont rely on it as a health insurance, check the terms on what is included
Else go for Platinum, far more cover
