Flying Manchester Atlanta then domestic with a 5 hour layover can you access the concourse international lounges (paid for)from the domestic terminal with a domestic boarding card?
    Thanks

You’ve not said which airline or what classes but assuming Virgin and Upper Class to Delta you can access the Delta Club lounges in any of the terminals apart from the International terminal by showing your VS and DL boarding passes.

Reason is that you’ll exit the international terminal after immigration, and get the train to any of the domestic terminals. You \re unlikely to be allowed back through security into the International one with a domestic boarding pass.

If that wasn’t what you asked please clarify with more detail as above as your question is pretty confusing. Please also clarify if you have checked luggage as that will affect your route.

    Hi,
    Thank you for your response.
To clarify, we are travelling Manchester to Altanta on Virgin (premium economy) then connecting at Atlanta onto a domestic Delta flight (economy class).
We need advice on which lounge and in which terminal we should book please.
    Thank you!

Delta flights go from all terminals at ATL, so it depends on your destination and day of the week/time of day. Doesn’t really matter which one you pick as they’re all just a few mins apart by train or walking in the tunnels.

Your only option for a paid lounge is The Club ATL in concourse F. It’s $50 per person, and small and I wouldn’t waste my money on it. https://theclubairportlounges.com/products/the-club-atl-concourse-f

The only other option is the Minute Suites if you want a lie down and a shower, $35/hour for up to 2 people and you can’t pre-book.

It’ll probably take you an hour to get through immigration, another 30 mins on the train to collect and recheck your luggage and then 20 mins to get to your concourse if you’re lucky and it’s a good day You can easily burn 2 or more of your 5 hours just doing that. Then you need to get to your gate at least 40 mins before departure, so yu only really have 2-2.5 hours if it’s a good day.

I’d just go and have a leisurely meal in one of the restaurants and a drink somewhere.

You can access any Delta Sky club in the US if you have a U.K. Amex plat and flying any class in Delta . Only one person per card and extra persons are charged at $50.

IIRC the additional guests are admitted for a fee subject to space availability. Which in US Sky Clubs isn’t always available

I think there are some ways that flying delta business you can use amex lounge? It’s a beautiful lounge at Atlanta (makes the Heathrow one feel like a cupboard).I have amex platinum (though I’m debating whether to keep it…if I fly this route regularly it might swing me)

I don’t understand the worry about access to international terminals. I arrived at concourse F (LHR to Atlanta). I had a domestic connection at concourse C. But it didn’t stop me going to concourse E (mostly international flights). I think the setup for being allowed into concourses for international flights in the US has changed? I think they just check your passport as you board? (At least that’s what I’ve experienced…). Anyway, you should have access to all terminals. I flew in a few days ago

Back to the original question, once you are in the terminal it is easy to travel between concourses (inc international) there is no internal security or boarding card requirements. However as stated the only non-airline lounge is the Club at ATL in F which is pretty rank, I wouldn’t bother.

Be careful when exiting the international concourse because if you exit landside then you will need to get a bus all the way around the road network to domestic checkin, they won’t re-checkin domestic passengers at International

Returning from Atlanta to LHR in couple weeks, myself and OH flying BA Club, plus I also have Amex Plat (not OH), can anyone please advise what lounge options we have? Not done route for over 2 years and previously the lounge was always awful, now combined with the reduced BA dining on the late flight home! At least one positive we now depart from LHR T3 next week. Thanks

Unless you’ve arrived on a Delta flight, your Amex won’t get you into their Skyclubs, so you’re restricted to The Club at ATL in the International Terminal (concourse F) and can also access the Amex Centurion lounge (concourse E).

None of the lounges at ATL are anything to write home about and they’re typically always packed.
