Recently flew LHR-CMB and CMB-LHR on Sri Lankan on a cheap economy ticket, was actually perfectly decent experience despite being almost full.
Forgot to ensure BA Exec club membership number was on the booking (via an online travel agent Sky Wings found on Skyscanner with fare code VLX2MGB, so booking class V, I understand)
I put in a retrospective claim for each leg and they came back both rejected with no information given.
However the CMB-LHR same day then credited 35 tier points and 2709 Avios (I am blue member, 50% = 2708 avois expected) despite the supposed rejection. I resubmitted the outward but rejected again, no reason given.
Definition of dumb is to keep resubmitting – have I misunderstood the Fare Basis first letter is the booking class? BA say it is Sri Lankan who are rejecting it, any suggestions?

Try ringing up the exec club and see if they can help, there used to be a separate section to upload boarding passes and e-ticket which can help them get your Tier points
