Myself and Partner just had an email to say our January transfer hasn’t happened

“We’re sorry we couldn’t add your Avios to your British Airways Executive Club account this month.

There was a delay at our end, so they’ll be added to your Executive Club account next month instead.”

No explanation as to why this is happening.

That’s the email I received last month. No explanation. However I am pleased to say that Nov and Dec points arrived in my BAEC account yesterday

Has anyone had this month’s points through yet? Normally second working day of the month.

They instruct them by the second working day, but they might not post within minutes and it’s only 9.30ish of the second working day! My 1,500 Premier points have arrived. I’m quite sure the rest will follow in the next couple of days as usual.

I’ve got my 1500 from Avios Rewards, but not my Barclaycard spend. I know its early still, but this also happened in December, and I didn’t get my points until January.

I’m more thinking about the 100k avios bonus, do you think people will get them this month? I remember signing up on the day of the offer, and my Barclaycard app shows I’ve had rewards for 4 months how. In the confirmation email I had, it said I must keep it until 2nd February. Obviously I’m not going to cancel anything until the 100k is awarded, and I will keep avios rewards for the full 12 months to get the voucher now, although will downgrade the card to the free one.

Barclaycard Avios usually post quite late on the evening of the second my day of the month. 21/22h.

    They are not late.

    Chill peeps.

The terms for the 100k said within two months of qualifying (the last bit of which was holding the accounts for four months). My wife and I have had our Barclaycard/Premier points, at worst within a week of the official time, but mostly right on schedule. Obviously, transactions at the very end of the month might not make the cut off, but generally it seems pretty efficient.

I’ll be honest, I don’t usually check when the points come in as it’s usually only a few thousand, and despite some of the problems people have had, I’ve found the entire process with BC pretty smooth sailing, I think the only problem I had at the beginning was a 2FA issue which was sorted within 30 mins on chat.

I did check when my 50k were due for the SUB, and I think it was on the 3rd working day, and only checked in December as someone posted about getting an email from Barclaycard about the points being delayed, and then noted that my 1500 posted but not the card spend (which eventually posted in Jan). Was worried it will happen again as only the 1500 posted this morning, but glad to say the card spend has now posted.

Yes, I do recall about the terms stating within two months of qualifying. I suspect that as the normal points have already posted, we won’t see the 100k until 2nd March at the earliest.

Now the morning of 3 Feb and my Barclays Avios (lots of them…) not posted. For the second month in a row. Maybe I’m impatient, but not good enough. Directing my spend elsewhere right now.

Same for me. As I didn’t use my card until early December, I haven’t actually received a single Avio(?!). Last month I got an email apologising and saying I would get last month’s missing Avios this month instead (right….), so far this month I don’t even have that. Pretty poor.

My Barclaycard Avios for January’s spend were credited to my BAEC account yesterday.

Currently, they are still showing as pending in my Barclaycard account, but that is normal for Barclaycard and will resolve itself.

You need to check your BAEC account, not just your Barclaycard account, if you think you have a problem.

    An update…..

Tried to speak to Barclaycard yesterday. I spent (I kid you not), 4 hours on the phone. Speaking to Barclaycard was just not possible and kept being routed to Barclays. When the call is routed to Barclays, they speak to Barclaycard via chat and the first line agents are clueless who simply advise the call handler to have the caller to call British Airways (incorrect advice).

Spoke to Barclaycard this morning (a victory in itself) who confirmed the issue in Jan (as we all knew) and that there was an issue this month (not as many people affected, but a significant number). Some backend stuff was raised with variable timelines of the points being sent across in either 7 days, 14 days or the 2nd working day of March.

Formal complaint from last month reopened as I really needed this points for a trip in 2 weeks.

So, good news is there is an issue (it’s nothing personal). Agent I spoke to from Barclaycard was at least very open and honest – they are new to the Avios game, so issues like this are new to them and Barclaycard.

Adding my experience, as I found it really useful and reassuring seeing others had similar… My Avios transferred this morning, 3rd working day of the month, somewhere between 9.30 and 11am. This included the 25k SUB which was earned in January, the first month of having the card.

I did check my BA account before posting this – but have checked again and they have arrived some time in the last five hours. Hoorah, one less thing to chase!

I joind Barclaycard Avios last November. Had no issues with my Avios being added to my BA Executive account in December, January and February but now (oddly) that I reached the £3k spend in 3 months target (last month) Like others, I received an email a few days ago saying My Avios could not be added this month and that it would go in on the 2nd working day next moonth (April). I chatted with Barclays who told me to contect BA, as the issue was with them and not Barclays. How can it be a BA issue, when its Barclays that transfer the Avios across? Only hope this does not hapen when my 100,000 Avios target date is reached on the 30th March.

Mine transferred on the 2nd so it’s clearly not affecting all accounts.

I’ve had the email. 38k not transferred. No explanation. Additionally. Premier joining bonus taking 5 months to transfer…….not good!

The Premier joining/switch bonus terms only say it will be paid after a full four months post switching on Avios Rewards, so in the fifth monthly transfer cycle – i.e. nothing “not good” about that.

Ok. That’s fair on the premier. But not on the barclaycard. Both together reflect less than well. Not good!
