Avios Premier joining bonus

Hi

When I look at my Barclays app, under my Avios activity, I can see my monthly Avios posted to my BA account but I also see “Avios Prem Joining Bonus” of 25000 in the activity, though this hasn’t gone to my BA account.

Am I right in thinking I need to trigger this by doing a current account switch? I find it odd that it shows. I also find it odd that when I get a monthly email, the 25000 is included in the “since you have been with us you have earned xx Avios”

I assume this is triggered by the switch, but any other views appreciated.

I have the same but I have done the account switch on top. I’m assuming the account has to be open for four months before they transfer the points over.

I have the same.

I did the full current account switch and upgraded to the premium card from the basic one. I thought the 25k avoids would post when I hit a £3k spend on the credit card but they have not posted. I got the email re the 100k avios so I’m pretty confident I’ll get those after 4 months but not sure about this 25k either?

Anyone got any ideas?

The 25k fir the account opening will post after 4 months and once you’ve done the account switch. I opened mine in July, switched in August, got the pints beginning of December. The £3k dined applies only to the credit card and you’ll get that the month after you hit the limit.
