BA Amex: Do the 3x Avios rewards for BA include cash flights bought with USD?

I want to buy a return BUE -> LON flight with BA with Cash using my black Amex BA Premium Plus card.

Since the flight starts in Argentina, the flight is priced in USD rather than GBP.

Will I still get 3x the Avios rewards for this flight? Otherwise, is there any way to pay this in GBP directly?

If you’re booking on ba.com, you should get 3 avios per £1 of spend (not 3 x avios), however if you’re paying in USD you’ll get stung for FX fees which may cancel out the value of the extra avios.
