Forums Frequent flyer programs The British Airways Club BA compensation time?

  • 3 posts

    Hi all,

Not strictly an Avios query but does anyone have any tips for dealing with BA regarding compensation?

Applied in October after missing a connecting flight. Have heard absolutely nothing since. The chatbot says it’s fetching my status but retrieves nothing. Actual human chat has told me that my case is resolved but can’t tell me more. Assume rejected as I haven’t noticed any funds.

Advised to request a copy of the email via website – have done so but an still waiting after yet another month.

    Thanks in advance

October is probably too early – I’d give it another 4-6 weeks, especially if you have no BA status.

Wow. OK, expectations now managed. Thanks!

I put in 4 claims for my last trip (my kids were on a separate booking). Only heard that the rejected one of the claims stating they cant be responsible for crew sickness but I have taken that to the CEDR. Have not heard back from BA about the other 3. Once it passes 8 weeks I believe you can go direct to the CEDR you will probably end up there anyway as they reject everything

    Absolute nonsense.

In the last 6 months or so I put in 5 claims (including one for a flight 6 years ago) and every single one was paid with zero argument.

3 were for compensation due to flight cancellations and two for duty of care.
