BA Economy Basic + BA Economy Plus in the same booking

For a ticket for four people, the BA website does not allow me to select BA Economy Basic for 2 and BA Economy Plus in the same booking.
Is there no option to book such mixed ticket? why do I need to buy either basic or plus for the whole group?

Your choices are

4 on the same booking
‘
2 on the basic economy booking

2 on the economy plus booking.

It is simply not possible to have a mix of ticket types on the same booking like you want.

That’s what I thought.
I will probably end up buying plus for the whole group even though I will not use the extra baggage!
