BA Holidays and partial period car hire

Not sure if I’m missing something obvious here. I’m trying to book a 9 day holiday with car hire for 5 of those days for the double TPs.

Whatever I try on the BA or BA holidays website results in:

1) 5 days car hire being more expensive than the full 9 days and showing no package discount.

2) At the payment stage, no option to only pay a deposit.

Does anyone have any workarounds? I’ve tried the custom trip function in edge and safari with no luck!

I’ve never had this particular issue, but sometimes I have to use Chrome to get ba.com let me do certain things!

If all else fails, you should be able to book over the phone, and waive any extra fees due to BA’s rubbish IT.

Don’t forget the car hire needs to be 5 nights (which may be different from counted days) for double TPs.

Thanks for these pointers, will try again later in Chrome for 6 days/5 nights and see what happens. Failing that, I’ll be on the phone to them!

We’ve been trying to book a BAH this afternoon for flights and hotel for only part of the trip. Tried with safari and Chrome. Everything priced up fine but could not select option to pay just a deposit. Looks like a call is required.

A couple of times I’ve tried to book a BAH with a partial period car hire and they have always been more expensive than say a 8 day car hire.
