Forums Frequent flyer programs British Airways Executive Club BA Household Avios account

Hi all/Rob, we are a family of 6 and 3 of us are members of BAEC. 3 of us have four, 2 for 1 vouchers to use. I have quite a few avios but my 2 sisters who are the other members of BAEC are light on Avios to use their 2 for 1’s. So I will be setting up a household BA Avios account. My question is that if we were to take a family holiday, 3 of the family members aren’t part of BAEC so can we still use the household account? If not is a way around this to put them on the family and friends list. FYI we are all adults, no kids. Thanks!

Why don’t the other 3 join up, then add them to the HHA?

They don’t really have an interest and 2 at least are not very IT literate…

I’m not sure what you’re asking here – you can make a travel booking for anyone you want, they don’t have to be BAEC members. The HHA only matters if you want to draw on several people’s avios. You could also add them to friends and family to make the booking process a bit faster.
If you’re using 241s, unless they belong to the same person you would have to make separate bookings for each pair of travelling adults (though you can add children to a 241 booking).
It might be easier if you explain what the proposed itinerary is and how you were planning to book it?

Hi @Northernlass, no planned itinery yet but you have answered my question. I just wanted to make sure that when we come to use the 2 for 1’s, we can for any person that isn’t part of the HHA that is travelling with the voucher holder. Main purpose of the HHA that we need is to pool avios! Thanks!

If they are not interested you can make accounts for them and manage the accounts yourself.
