What came up on the login page just now.
Too busy to even let you search a flight. DDos attack? Yet. Was then able to go to App login on my iPad. So just usual standard of service.Soon be at IB levels..
Just on the phone to them now to change a flight, reps state that the system is incredibly slow today. Nearly 30mins on phone to do the most basic of things I couldnt do myself online. Monies are not being spent properly with this much wastage on staff pay than say, improve the IT structure.
I had flights cancelled on two bookings yesterday due to schedule changes so system maybe overwhelmed with everyone accessing there booking to change flights! Flights are in March and April so I’m surprised at these last minute changes!
I’m no IT guru, but you just spin up some cloud capacity. If you can’t, you really are a long, long way back (IT economy I suppose!)
And it’s down again this afternoon. Mix “too busy”, unable to login and the occasional 502 error.
BA app and web site have been plagued with issues for weeks now. It’s not high demand or hundreds of thousands trying to make booking as they’d like you to believe, it is simply that their IT is broken.
No part of their IT works as it should. For example Tier points and Avios from flights are taking 3-5 days to post. Flew Wednesday and still noting and now it will be at least Monday as in the past flight credit never seemed to post at weekends. The days of flights posting at midnight or 1 am the day off travel are long gone!
