Hi,
I just had the Amex call centre tell me if I cancel my British Airways Premium Plus card then my companion voucher would also be cancelled, as the taxes have to be paid by that. I’ve read on HfP this is not the case – that any Amex card is fine – but would appreciate any reassurance that anyone can give.
Apologies, as I’m sure this has been covered many times – I just can’t find a thread on it.
Many thanks for any clarification on this. Or a link to where this has been covered before.
All fine.
BA has even removed the line from the T&C that say taxes must be paid on a BA Amex, so you can be sure they are talking nonsense.
So BA are not threatening anything, are they…?
All fine.

It might be widely accepted that there are no issues using another card as I have done recently.
However I received my congratulations email confirming new voucher this morning and the second sentence of the Terms & Conditions quite clearly states “Taxes, fees and charges per person remain payable on the British Airways American Express Card”.
