As silver I don’t pay for seats but just checked for my sister and realised BA wants GBP 43 for a seat in Economy (all the way up to GBP 100) while AA starts at GBP 12. (Checked with Finnair and it is GBP 28 for a long haul).
I know prices can change but I do not know how much … would be interesting if HfP could enlighten us on this one a little more!
Trouble is these things are dynamically priced, like airfares themselves, so it’s very hard to compare.
The only sensible way to do an article like this would be to pick a random route, random dates, and compare all the airlines for price (cash and points), aircraft type, seat selection, extra luggage.
