Have booked Virgin to Bangalore (BLR) for Jan25 with the plan to transit to Colombo (CMB). VS316 is yet to receive approval from the local authorities so it’s hard to find out which terminal will be used. Anyone know the answer? And what is a good hotel day room option as the VS flight will arrive at 02:35 and the earliest flight to CMB is 11:20.

Important news for all international and domestic flyers flying to and from Bengaluru, Karnataka. From August 31, 2023, 10:45 AM onwards, the T1 of the Kempegowda International Airport (KIA) will only cater to domestic flights. All international flight operations will be shifted to Terminal 2 or T2.
To start off this process, Singapore Airlines SQ 508 will be the first international flight to land at Bengaluru’s Kempegowda International Airport on August 31. The first flight to Terminal 2 will be from the Changi International Airport.Yep, as Tony says, all international flights will be from T2.
Taj hotel is close to the terminal. Moxy is 10 mins away.
Gotta say I was really impressed with T2 Bangalore airport – was there in November and it’s really nice.
