Just had a nice discussion over on Reddit and now I’m confused about the welcome bonus eligibility criteria, and want to clear things up before any commitments.
Going from the Gold card to the BAPP will mean that we can get the welcome bonus on both cards. However, the Redditor is claiming that going from BAPP to Gold will also allow you to get the bonus – is this now true?
Apparently there was a recent post/email about this change and wanted to know what’s been missed. Amex’s website hasn’t been updated to reflect this, as the Gold card’s welcome bonus criteria still states that holding any personal Amex card means you no longer qualify for the bonus.
Has the definition of what a personal card also been changed?
Gold -> BAPP = SUB (Assuming no prior free BA card)
BAPP -> Gold = No SUB
The only recent email update on Gold is just the spending bonus change.
