Forums Frequent flyer programs British Airways Club BAPP voucher holder always has to fly?

Just double checking as don’t trust my memory….but once awarded a BAPP 241 voucher, the voucher holder must be on the flight….you can’t book two family members on a flight….or one relative on a single return flight.

And Household accounts aren’t a workaround?

Holder has to fly, only exception is using 2x 241s for 4 people on same booking.

@Ash for the avoidance of doubt, it’s not just on the same flight, the voucher holder must be on the same booking as the companion(s).

And you both have to be in the same cabin. You can’t be in Club and your second passenger in PE

But Barclaycard upgrade you can “gift”??
or split between 2 if holder is one of them?

Barclaycard voucher needs to be booked by the holder but anybody can fly on it.

Why I sent my dear old ma to the USA using mine where she promptly got Covid, didn’t leave the house of the friend she was staying with for two weeks, and then flew home.

Yes, anyone can travel on the Barclaycard voucher, but it must be booked from the holder’s account, so strictly speaking you gift the trip, not the voucher. It can be any two people one way or one person return.

    Thanks as always, @JDB & @Froggee!

Hi, thought I’d wedge this in rather than opening a other thread.

Barclays voucher, after cancelling how long does it take to hit BAEC for a rebook?
