    Hi all – I signed up to and was accepted for the premier account and avios plus card on the 5th November. Just realised a few days ago that i have not received 100k bonus confirmation email. Spoke to CS on barclays app chat who were next to useless. They advised they couldn’t see the avios plus card on my account, although the avios plus card is showing in the app, then offered no resolution on the matter. I’ve tried searching through the forum and believe some people, (presumably myself included) have had two profiles set up in error. How do I go about getting this corrected and getting the 100k avios as per the offer, in the least stressful manner? i.e am i best writing a complaint via letter, or phoning them up (I’d rather not phone them up if the phone advisors are like the app). Thanks in advance for any assistance.

    Frankly, I’d do nothing for now.

    Wait until the 4 months is up and see what posts. If nothing posts, by that point Barclays is planning to have some dedicated call centre agents who actually understand the offer and will know what to look for and how to fix it. Seems a waste of time doing things now, especially as you see the card in the app.

    As well as the above advice, I also had the same ‘2 profiles’ issue. Went into my local branch last week who updated profile details and merged the accounts – took all of 5 minutes, and Barclays have confirmed I’m still eligible for the 100k offer. Will chase them again in a week as I still haven’t received the confirmation email yet.

    I did switch from the free Avios Card to the Premier Card before the 30/11 deadline so am wondering if I qualify for the 100k?? As it happens I was very close (~£2k) to the £20k target for the upgrade voucher on that card. However even though I didn’t receive the Avios+ card until after Xmas they switched the £4k of spending on the old card to the new one so haven’t received the Voucher.
    The call centre agent I spoke to yesterday didn’t have a clue (no training regarding this promotion).
    Neither could they work out what happened with the card account payment. The due date was originally 3rd of the month which has slipped to the 9th on the new card. They debited my Original bank account £42.24 on the 3/1 (I was expecting ~£2.3k to clear the balance on the free card). I then immediately received a text that I hadn’t paid the minimum amount and pay another £32 to avoid the £12 late payment fee!
    Shambles or what! At this point in time I’m glad that I haven’t “switched” my current account to them!

    I had 2 profile problem, whilst I massively respect Ron’s advice but part of the 2 profile problem is that I don’t get the £5 refund every month for having both products as the system cannot see that you have both products.

    I had many online chats and I think at least one call. In the end I had to spend 40 mins in branch (post Christmas) to get it partly fixed. I have yet to receive the 100k avios confirmation but chat agent has confirmed I am eligible. The £5 refund still not fixed, but there are several notes on my file to fix and back date!

    FWIW – I still have not received any confirmation email about qualifying for the 100k Avios and it’s been 3 months since I met the conditions. However, I did waste time on a chat asking about this and the chat handler incorrectly said I did not qualify for it (they had no idea about this promotion and were referring to the Barclaycard spend promotion), so I escalated to a complaint back in November. About 6 weeks later (now), my complaint has been resolved with £25 compensation for the inconvenience as they should have resolved it within 2 weeks and a letter that states that I DO qualify for it and will receive the bonus after the 4 months is up.

    Thanks for this. Just received an email stating my 25,000 avios are on the way, so looks like I need to follow this route.

    Do you know when dedicated call centre agents are going to be put in place? Complaint route seems best option in absence of any action of info from Barclays?
