Forums Payment cards Barclaycard Avios Barclays upgrade voucher – mixed class possible?

  • 425 posts

    Hi

Does anyone know if I can use this for a mixed class return?

In other words, use Avios for outbound in Economy and return in Premium and use it to upgrade to Premium / Business? Can’t see a way online to do this.

    Thanks

Sorry, that’s me being lazy! I should have researched but everyone here is so helpful 🙂

    My bad!

No, we really do need an FAQs! Possibly pinned under each topic category?

Just reviving this. I assume the answer is no, but presumably I can’t double upgrade? So I couldn’t forfeit a one way upgrade and stay economy and then use my voucher to upgrade two classes on way back? That would be nice. 🙂

    Lazy. RTFT comes to mind.

So after being very briefly revived it has been thoroughly and deservedly killed off again 😀

Not laughing at you, @ekposh, just the amusing acronym! I’m guessing the Ts and Cs say something along the lines of “upgrade by one cabin class”. BA’s IT would never cope with a double upgrade anyway!

Hehehe, thanks. I thought so but looking like outbound is onky available in Y so guess I’ll be wasting half a voucher. No biggie really but would have been nice.

Nobody would read the FAQ anyway

But at least we could have an acronym – RTFFAQS …

There could even be a button alongside Quote to deliver a one-click response, automatically including a link to the FAQs to also be helpful.

We could have a selection of one-click responses 😂

Rather than a new thread, piggybacking off this one.

If I book the long haul section online when it is made available can I call up in the morning to add the domestic leg?

Also then book the return online using just avios and call to get the voucher applied (similar to the 2-4-1)?
