In Dec we arrive 4.55 @ BLR Bengaluru (BA flight) There is an Indigo flight to GOA (GOX) at 8.15
Is 3 hrs 20 sufficient to clear immigration, collect baggage and recheck in,re do security etc ?I would say its a little tight even if everything goes to plan. Much will depend on the BA flight arriving on time and how many immigration staff are available on that day and time. Indigo could stop you checking in if its within 60 mins of departure and they are getting strict now (in other words, forcing you to pay change fees). On the plus side its a small modern airport and the terminals are almost in same building. If you decide to go ahead, i’d recommend paying for the priority checkin with Indigo.
On the other hand, choose a later flight for a comfortable and relaxed transit. There’s a lounge called 080 thats highly rated.If your Bengaluru flight isn’t delayed, That time is sufficient. Main question is will it reach Bengaluru on time?

BA 119 seems to average 40 mins to 1 hour late arrival.
Theres another flight at 9.50. Might be saferthe new terminal is also slowly coming on line so there may be a terminal change depending on carriers.
In general, how good/bad is BLR? I have a friend making their first trip ever not in Y – doing JFK-LHR-BLR in Club Suites. It’d be nice to think they can enjoy the travel class rather than worrying about mayhem at the airport. My abiding memory of Delhi Airport was a thin dog pacing around the door closest to the car parks, eyeing me up as a snack.

IMO it puts uk airports to shame. Clean, not overly busy. Definitely not a bad place to be. The flight times out of blr suck though. All flights seem to leave between midnight and 8am.
There are two lounges in departures. Don’t go for the corner one because it’s chaos and everyone and their gran has access via a bank card. Go for the line to the right about 20 m before the corner one. Way better experience.
+1 to the above post. It’s a small clean modern airport.
Your friend is more likely to suffer from being stuck in traffic getting into the city.
