Hi, just a couple of questions about the companion voucher.
Does the named cardholder who earned the voucher have to use it, or can I use it for my kids?
If I can, can I use 2 vouchers, mine and my wife’s, on one booking. For example to send my 2 kids (adults) to New York, 25000 Avios each way, one to discount the cost to 25000 Avios return, and one to add my second kid for free (taxes only).
Also when using a companion voucher, how much do you pay in taxes, is it the same as the paid traveller or higher. For example, RFS can get me to New York for as little as 50 pounds in taxes each way, whilst regular reward seats cost more in taxes, how much would the companion pay?
Man, all your questions have been answered in the many articles one can access here. Would have taken you less time to read them that to write all that:
– the voucher owner must be flying so it can be you and an kid or your wife and a kid (as she has a voucher too). The two kids (no vouchers to their name) cannot fly alone
– you can select what level of avios/cash to pay. If RFS exists you can select that
