Qatar are doing a Black Friday deal (runs until 27 November) offering a 50% bonus on buying avios. Works out to be 1.16p/each vs 1.77p currently available from BA.
Possible BA will do a similar offer in the next couple of days, but given the ease of moving avios between QR & BA it doesn’t really make much odds!

Fair point. I have a subscription at that rate too. But this sale info is useful for anyone who needs to top-up their Avios balance now for a particular redemption and cannot wait to sign-up for monthly Avios subs that trickle in and in that scenario this purchase rate may well be acceptable…
Under 1p would be my preference too, but this isn’t too bad if you need a large amount quickly.
The subscription is better if you already have as many as you need for booking, so are happy just to replenish over time.

I think the Avios cost 0.82p at the time.BA balance booster is 0.92p per Avios so I’d never pay above that. That is, unless you need a tonne of Avios and don’t have the base points to boost.
Can the balance booster be used on purchased points? E.g. buy some from Qatar with the 50% bonus, then boost those at a lower price from BA?
