Can I change which scheme I allocate tier points to after booking but before fly

I have some BA flights booked later in the year (post TP year end) that will earn me Tier points. I have Silver through to 2026. Can I choose to allocate them to Iberia plus as I have a fighting change of getting to Oro with that scheme but not to Silver with the “New Improved” BA scheme.

Are there any significant downsides if I do i.e. unallocating or charging me for my seats that I’ve already booked?
