Thinking of booking for summer 2024 but OH not sure if they can make the trip. But want to bag the avios booking now as they well be around in a few months on this popukar route
If I book using BC voucher for companion seat can I later change it to just me flying and use the voucher for half Avios? And vice versa is possible?
Do you mean the BAPP voucher (the Barclaycard one is for an upgrade, not a companion)? If so, you’d need to cancel the 241 booking and re-book for the 50% avios. The seats may or may not be released back into the inventory, so there’s a certain amount of risk involved, though you may find “extra” business availability with the voucher also.
Apologies , meant the Barclaycard voucher.
Switching the booking from an upgrade for 2 passengers to half Avios for one passenger. Or vice versa.
You’d still have to cancel and rebook, and the BC voucher doesn’t open up extra availability.
Why don’t you just use the voucher to book your return trip, and make a separate avios booking for your partner, which could then be cancelled for a small fee if necessary?
