Hello
I am trying to cancel an avios booking (next week) for a refund, not FTV.
The only option I have online is for a FTV, and I cannot get through via phone as BA “have made the decision to prioritise customer service calls rather than sales calls”. The line just hangs up.
Does anyone know how I can achieve this?
Fill out this form to get all avios, taxes, & charges back as you are still within BWC period. The form says “voucher” but you will receive a full refund.
https://www.britishairways.com/travel/webforms/public/en_gb?eId=120001&wfpId=covidnYes, just do the form.
The only reason not to do the form is if you want to rebook immediately, because the form takes a few days to get done.
No fees with the form either – it is basically free cancellation of Avios tickets at the moment ….

Is it true for any future Avios booking?
Or is there still any cut off date?- This reply was modified 54 years, 11 months ago by .

I cancelled online, filled out form, got an acknowledgment , waited ages, nothing happened, phoned CS, all sorted, cash , Avios and 241 back in accounts almost immediately.
I phoned ba bronze line, ignored al the bumph about prioritising this, that and the other and got to speak to a nice lady immediately. That was at about 10am last Saturday. It’s worth it to keep trying!
I followed the method of using the form indicated by @Gary above to cancel Japan domestic flights (30,000 Avios and £9 total for two adults and one child), but I didn’t get all of my Avios back.
I think British Airways have tried to recoup the £35pp cancellation fee by taking some of my Avios when refunding. In this regard, my account shows that they deposited 30,000 and then immediately took 14,255 for “household redemption”.
I thought we only lost the £9 at worst, but in practice thought we would lose nothing this time because of Book with Confidence?

If you have a household account, isn’t that just the way they now do it? You got the full 30k initially and then they gave 14,255 back to another member of the household account which will be the same prorata as taken originally.
